Last night Eddie and I watched the movie Fireproof it came highly recommended to us by my awesome sister-in-law Ashli. This movie was amazing to say the least. If you are married you need to see this movie regardless of what stage or situation you are in your marriage you need to see this movie.
Eddie and I have a very good marriage we have not seen a lot of hard times these past 2 years(almost three years) we have been together. Don't get me wrong we have had our far share of difficult issues, but I would not say we have had that"hit rock bottom" issue that seems to be impossible to get out of. But I do realize that all marriage will have what seems like impossible to fix issues come up. Eddie and I are very proactive in the fact that we want to be as prepared as possible to deal with these issues, when they do come up. We read relationships books together and try everyday to do what the books tell us to do. But every once in a while it is good to have a reminder that you need to do more than just try, you need to work hard on your relationship with your spouse and god everyday.
This movie really gave me a new veiw on faith, marriage and love, it has the same message a lot of the books we have been reading........ but it really put into prospective for me.
I am going to say it again EVERYONE NEEDS TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!! IT IS RELATIONSHIP CHANGING. And I don't want to hear our relationship is fine we don't need it. There is nothing wrong with always reaching for better when it comes to you marriage no matter how good it is.
Without giving to much away I have to say when the father was talking to his son by the cross and the son finally got what love was all about, love for god how god loves us and love for his wife I was in tears. Really really good tears.
